Hartzell Series 46 Steel Housed Belt Drive Duct Axial Fan – 18″

The Series 46 Steel Housed Belt Drive Duct Axial Fan is manufactured by Hartzell Air Movement and is completely assembled and ready to install upon arrival. The duct axial propeller is a 6 bladed airfoil design, made from one piece of cast 319 aluminum alloy in compliance with Federal Specification QQ-A-601E and ASTM B26. The propeller is attached to the motor shaft using a split taper bushing.

The fan housing is a minumum 12 gauge rolled carbon steel, continuously welded in compliance with the AWS D1.1 standard. The housing is coated using a phosphatized surface preparation with industrial grade air dry enamel paint. All housing flanges have premade slotted mounting holes. Fans are suitable for temperatures up to 200° F.

Fan shafts are constructed of ground and polished carbon steel. Heavy duty bearings, located in a drive compartment on the negative pressure side of the propeller, are self aligning, ball or roller type, with a minimum L10 life of 50,000 hours. Features variable pitch drive sheaves, and “V” type belts that are heat, oil and static resistant, and sized for continuous use.

The fan assembly is dynamically balanced at the Hartzell factory prior to shipping and the fans are balanced in accordance with the American National Standards Institute, Std. S2.19-1989 “Balance Quality of Rotating Rigid Bodies,” and Grade G6.3. Fans are manufactured in accordance with Hartzell’s standard quality assurance procedures. Fan performance is based on tests conducted in Hartzell’s AMCA accredited laboratory in accordance with the latest revision of AMCA Standard 210 for air performance and AMCA Standard 300 for sound performance. Fans are licensed to bear the AMCA Certified Air Performance Rating Seal.
